About the Village
Maluti is an extraordinary village museum tucked into the rolling green borderlands of Dumka. Built during the 17th to 19th centuries by the Baj Basanta dynasty, 72 of the original 108 ornate terracotta temples still stand. Village potters continue age-old terracotta carving traditions right alongside these architectural gems.
Living Heritage & Traditions
The terracotta facades showcase exquisite miniature relief carvings depicting epics from the Ramayana, Mahabharata, and rural Santhali folklore, crafted in unique Char Chala Bengal-Jharkhand fusion architecture.
