About the Village
Isko sits atop the sandstone hills of Barkagaon where giant natural rock shelters showcase prehistoric pictographs dating back over 10,000 years. The indigenous Birhor and Santhal inhabitants preserve the very same geometric motifs, peacocks, and fertility plants on their mud houses today.
